That’s a part of the American dream, I guess! With foreign invasions on the mainland since our founding, it is smart that we would construct castles “just for enjoyable.”
I really just like the Singer castle too! And you recognize, Jesus did say that “In my house there are a lot of mansions… if it were not so I might have advised you.” 🙂

I love how in America castles are constructed just because they could. How wonderful are these castles my favourite would be the Singer castle. Maybe that is just a little like heaven might be like.
Watercubez, it positive would be a tremendous mixture!
Wendy, the individuals who build them had quite the imagination, esp. to strive it in America.
Sunnyglitter, You’ll discover them sprinkled right here and there if you keep your eyes peeled! There are much more castles that are not for sale– most of my favorite American castles will most likely by no means be for sale.

I love the concept of dwelling on an island…. in a castle no much less! Undoubtedly the Singer castle.
I agree– except you have a giant household or like entertaining tons of of friends at a time, it can be difficult to be surrounded by such an enormous empty (of individuals) building. That’s why many castle owners keep it as a vacation rental or charge tourists for tours. In addition they are generally used as vacation spot wedding areas.
Thanks for reading!

St. Lucia, I utterly agree. There are just a few American castles that have some old-world qualities to them (none are for sale), but most in the US appear to be fairy-tale-sort castles!
Each of those is magnificent! Singer Castle would be my favorite. Thank you for this treasure of a Stone Island Clothes Hub. I couldn’t enjoyed viewing it more.

Sidney, that is why I wrote this hub— it is fun to dream a bit! Glad you would enjoy the snow. I’m not a skier or boarder but I find it irresistible too. 🙂
Pat, I at all times go for saving what I have already got relatively than spending what I barely earn on lottery tickets. Maybe that is how these house owners have had the funds to build these castles in the primary place!
Kendall, Beauty and the Beast can be good on this setting! I did not even think of that. Now I’ll have to use your idea to describe this castle. Snow, mystery, piney wind… sure.

Pat writes: Once i started to learn I thought that I might be in a position to buy a castle if I received the lottery. Once i received to the prices I realised that a lottery win may not be enough to buy a castle. It is superb that anyone has that variety of cash – but there’ll always be a small group of super rich folks.
