Strivers Row & Co. Clothing Collection And Flagship Store
Strivers Row & Co. Clothes Assortment and Flagship Store
Very early this fall Strivers Row designer/proprietor Jason Geter sent us a couple of photographs of his new clothes collection and invited us to check out the store…. and I must say we were completely impressed.
First, The Model:
Strivers Row is one of those manufacturers with a robust sense of history and meaning. It is a males’s life-style brand that breathes life into trend by studying the past.
The collection is a private expression of a way of life that respects the juxtaposition of kind and perform, previous and present, and in an atmosphere that’s each relaxed but refined. The collaborators behind the Strivers Row brand, Emmett Harrell (the inventive mastermind behind Akademiks and PRPS) and Jason Geter believe that in trend, greater than some other form of expression, the work should commend itself for another reason than its cleverness or originality, or it should clearly put on out its welcome.
The Flagship Retailer
Strolling in we were warmly greeted by the manager, Will. This man may be very congenial, he told us that he tries to guantee that Strivers Row isn’t just some “stuffy” boutique in a wealthy space the place the employees are arrogant for no motive. So whether you step into Strivers Row in jeans and t-shirt or a Canali go stone island striped t shirt well with and 7-fold tie you may get good customer service. Why cannot all shops be like that!
Will confirmed us around and crammed us with a lot of knowledge from the brands they carry to selvedge denim and far more…
Strivers Row & Co. carries quite a few manufacturers: Strivers Row, PRPS, Stone Island, Canterbury of new Zealand, Jean Store, Warehouse Co. Duck Digger, BkC, Mister Freedom, Dita, and more. We had a protracted discussion with Will about selvedge denim: the ‘highest-promoting’ brands: (Nudie, G-star, True Religion, Evisu, APC, and Diesel, just to call a few)… he put us on to one of the only a few American customized jean shops: Imogene Stone Island Outlet and Willy… and of course we took a better seems to be at Strivers Row denim.
Strivers Row is likely one of the few denim brands, if not the only, that has their identify customized embroidered on the selvedge. Other firms could have their names pre-stamped on the selvedge, however Striver’s is actually embroidered (publish jean being made)… so there’s a really high consideration to detail in terms of Strivers Row, which makes sense since Jason Geter spent months researching denim in Japan earlier than creating their own.

Strivers Row loyalist and City Gent fan wearing Strivers Row denim. He drops in the store every week to simply say what’s up and see what’s new.
We also had an attention-grabbing dialog about Stone Island… So apparently Stone Island jackets in elements of Europe are how Starter jackets were in the USA back within the 90s. They are so coveted and wanted by everybody that folks will steal them from you straight off your back. The jackets can sometimes trigger such an uprising that sure bars ban people from wearing it, since it has been the center of quite a lot of bar fights, lol, loopy huh ! I do know the model is worn in Green Avenue Hooligans and The Soccer Manufacturing unit, two very crucial soccer hooliganism films. I just surprise if those motion pictures influenced the fights over the jackets or if those sort guys really do put on the $600+ jackets and the films just present that, idk, but both approach I feel it is a thing of the past now (but when anyone is aware of do tell)… its very fascinating.
