Stone Island, Sacai Reimagine Nike Windrunner Jacket
Nike has trusted Sacai and Stone Island to reimagine its signature Windrunner jacket. The Oregon-based activewear giant’s NikeLab division has turned to the brands to create new versions of the jacket as part of its Year of the Windrunner celebration. The Windrunner jacket has been a staple within the stone island quilted overshirt sale Nike line since its debut within the Seventies and has been worn by everyone from distance runners to hipsters. The NikeLab x Stone Island model makes use of water- and wind-resistant Mussola Gommata fabric for the chevron and hood by bonding lightweight cotton muslin to an opaque polyurethane movie. Nylon Metal, a proprietary Stone Island fabric with a metallic sheen, is used on the body of the garment, which is lined with PrimaLoft. The jacket is garment-dyed to imitate color-blocking.The Sacai jacket, designed by Chitose Abe, offers a faux-fur hood and physique with ripstop fabric. Both jackets will be available starting on Dec. 17 at NikeLab retailers and on the Nike Net site. The Stone Island jacket will retail for $750 and the Sacai version will promote for $600.
