Nikelab partners with Stone Island for an upcoming iteration of it’s most well-known garment, the Nike Windrunner.
Celebrating the beginning of Nike’s Year of the Windrunner, the beautiful capsule features Nike’s trademark silhouette constructed from two of essentially the most iconic Stone Island fabrics. Originally created in 1978 by Nike’s first apparel designer, the Windrunner was revolutionary on the time for it’s unique raglan sleeved sample and 26-degree chevron yoke, quickly changing into a favourite of each the highest athletes and essentially the most stylish and ahead-pondering characters of the late 70’s.
Now, for 2015, Stone Island have delivered a unique update of the jackets, using each their water/wind-resistant Mussole Gommata and iridescent, resin handled Nylon Metal fabrics. The Windrunners are padded with a PrimaLoft substrate, resulting in lightweight superior thermal performance. The result is a luxurious and eye-catching make up, with Stone Island’s monochromatic garment dyed fabrics producing a placing mimicry of the normal Windrunner’s shade blocking.
