NIKELAB X STONE ISLAND WINDRUNNER
Nike’s iconic Windrunner jacket was designed in the late 1970s and has been rocked by everyone from distance runners to b-boys. For 2016 NikeLab is collaborating with terrace favorite Stone Island for a special iteration of the Windrunner. Stone Island uses their signature fabrics like water and wind-resistant Mussola Gommata fabric which is made by bonding lightweight cotton muslin to an opaque polyurethane film. Nylon Metallic, a proprietary Stone Island fabric with a metallic sheen, is featured on the physique of the garment, which is lined with PrimaLoft®. The NikeLab x Stone Island Windruner is monochromatic and employs Stone Island’s garment dyeing process. The result’s a delicate distinction between 14 year old stone island jeans the shades of the Mussola Gommata and Nylon Metallic fabrics. The silver PrimaLoft® lining provides a beautiful contrast to the monochromatic exterior. The jacket will hit select shops and nike.com on December 17.
